MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Thank you so much to all that have supported me and IN.MOTION! We are now celebrating our 5th year in KW and have become a respected and established dance studio in the area. I couldn’t be more proud of what IN.MOTION has become. Our dancers and their families have made IN.MOTION a place that dancers feel welcome & supported. IN.MOTION has become a space that dancers of all ages and abilities can come together, make new friends, and explore their love for dance while receiving high quality dance training. A dream come true!
IN.MOTION continues to push the boundaries of a “classic dance studio”. We have classes for ages 2 – 18 years. We also offer an amazing ADULT program (beginner-advanced). We have DROP IN classes available for a University Student, Professional Dancer & we are open to students who train at other studios wishing to add a class or two to their current training schedule.
NEW last year was the addition of our EXCLUSIVE PROGRAMS. These programs are for dancers 4-18 years and require a dedicated commitment to their training. We saw great success in 2011-2012 with these programs and the growth of our students was outstanding.
NEW this year...we welcome "the Singer's Theatre" to IN.MOTION. The Singer's Theatre will maintain all of their current class training and shows. Teamed with IN.MOTION, we've added never before training for Singer's Theatre graduates ages 13+ on Monday evening. Check it out!
Our YOUTH programs remain and are top-notch. This program is for dancers who love to dance but desire less of a commitment. Our youth programs or “recreational” levels receive the EXACT same training as our other programs…we just move a bit slower so that we all progress at the same rate.
We had a fantastic year at IN.MOTION, filled with lots of hard work resulting in the development of lovely dancers and people. I am very proud of everyone's accomplishments this year and receive such joy in being a part of each member's development and growth.
Special congratulations to our ballet students who succeeded in their RAD Ballet Exams and an Ensemble Team who experienced phenomenal success at 4 dance competitions this season winning multiple awards and overall standings.
Special student accomplishments include Mike Glenney cast with Disney Cruise Lines, Clarice Chin performing with Royal Caribbean, Sam Canto's acceptance into Ryerson's esteemed dance program, Emily Nighman cast as a lead in "Sound of Music", Mike Carvalho's commercial, Cameron Roth's Murdoch Mysteries, community performances for Kitchener's "Day of Kindness", "St. Patrick's Day", "Celebrating a 100 Years". Students also performed in benefits and corporate event shows across KW. Eight dancers performed in Ballet Jorgen Nutcracker (Koreen Wirschke, Cassandra Ford, Summer Edwards, Mariah Abbott, Mike Carvalho, Justine Bissonnette, Avery Robinson, Kennedy Robinson). Avery and Kennedy Robinson's acceptance into the summer program at the National Ballet of Canada.
